382 SA St Albans - Astwick Manor - Lemsford - Welwyn- Codicote In January 1965 GS54 was made redundant at Harlow, and was transferred to St.Albans, where it spent a couple of years working on some lightly-trafficked routes, such as the 382, with some forays on the 365. GS21 took over in April 1967 and worked through until October that year. St.Albans' GS on the 382 was replaced by an omo RF in October 1967. The 382 sprawled across rural Hertfordshire, managing to miss most of the larger developing centres. From the Cathedral City it escaped along the edge of the Marshalswick Estate and into open country across to Astley Manor. It by-passed burgeoning Hatfield and Welwyn Garden City to reach the little village of Lemsford. Then it headed north to Welwyn, where it briefly rubbed shoulders with the 388 before running up through the ribbon development to Codicote. There it terminated, leaving the 315 from Welwyn Garden City to run on to Kimpton. AllocationGS54: 1/65-4/67, GS21: 4/67-10/67
GS17, along with GS13 and BN61, operated on the 382 on January 14th, 2007, the first time that the route had seen a pair of GSs.
