We were away before too long, out to Horsham Station then turning north along the B2237. This took us out through northern Horsham to meet the A24 at the by-pass, where we headed north through rolling wooded countryside. We met RMC1476 sedately heading south. At the Capel south roundabout we turned in to the village, and ran north to the terminus at the church.
Then RT3148 was turned, a reverse turn from the main road into Vicarage Lane, then back out onto the bus stop.
RMC1500 arrived too, pulling up opposite the RT, before completing its own turn. (RMC1500 wears registration plates and fleet number from sister RMC1486, its own much-prized registration plates having been sold many years ago to an owner who understandably does not wish to part with them).
I joined the RMC for the wet journey back to Horsham through the pelting rain.
Once there I noted RF486 passing through on an 852 from Crawley to Ewhurst. Was this the first RED RF to Ewhurst on the 852?
Horsham Carfax seemed full of GS buses at this time. GS34, GS62 and GS2 were all taking a breather.
So too was RML2330, which was my next ride, to Crawley..
