459 WR Uxbridge - Richings Park Estate

A GS bus took over operation of this Uxbridge local working from a crew-operated RF in January 1959. GS40 was added to the Windsor allocation to supply it. But it was to be a short-lived GS operation, as a one-man operated RF took over in March! GS40 then went into store.

The route ran from urban Uxbridge, with its collection of RFs and TDs, Greenlines and trolleybuses (the 607), out along the Windsor road with the 457 group of routes, turning off near Iver Heath to pass through Iver to Richings Park Estate.
The buses for the 459 travelled from Windsor to Uxbridge mainly in service on the 457, but with some journeys using the 458. There were also some short workings on these routes from Uxbridge: to Iver Heath on the 457, and Iver on the 458.
