This page created 23rd October 2003380 HG Hertford - Ware - Stanstead Abbotts - Gilston - Harlow New Town - Sawbridgeworth The 380 was created in 1961, cutting the 388 into two halves at Hertford. The 380 was the eastern part, operating seven times a day except Sundays, when there were four return journeys. This arrangement lasted until Harlow garage opened in May 1963. Then 388 was then restored, as far as Harlow Bus Station, over the 390 routing, while the 390 took over the 380 route to Sawbridgeworth. The route operated through the Hertfordshire commuter belt, easing eastwards out of Hertford past the garage and on along the very busy bus road to Ware. It turned south with the trunk services to Amwell Cross Roads, then headed east through St.Margarets to Stanstead Abbotts. The road on to Gilston was more rural, but then it plunged into Harlow New Town before escaping north to Sawbridgeworth. AllocationThe GSs were all supplied by Hertford garage:
