This page created 18th December 2003319A GR Watford - Garston - Abbots Langley - Nash Mills - Two Waters. 319C GR Garston - Abbots Langley - Kings Langley - Apsley - Two Waters.
The 319 straggled across the northern outskirts of Watford, mainly between Garston and Chipperfield, but with extensions to Watford (Parade) and Sarratt. It linked Abbots Langley, with its homes, schools and hospitals, with Kings Langley in the Gade Valley, and villages up on the west flank of the valley. But the main route spawned a group of works and schools services, the 319A to 319D. 319A and 319C were worked from Garston by GSs during the 1958-1960 period, linking Garston and Abbotts Langley with Two Waters, via either Nash Mills or Apsley Mills, Dickinson's large paper mills on opposite banks of the River Gade. AllocationThe main allocation for the 319 route was RFs from Garston. GSs for the 319A and 319C works services were drawn from Garston's allocation.
