We growled on through Cobham village, and on to Stoke d'Abernon, where we pulled in to the station. RF28 was turning ahead of us, and RF600 was just setting off for Leatherhead.
We turned by entering the station car-park and pirouetting in front of the display of red buses displaced from the museum for the day, plus RMC1469. There were RM1955, RM1033, Q83, RTL139, STL441, TD95, T31 and T792 in the line-up.
We exited from Stoke d-Abernon, and turned right towards Leatherhead. Once beyond the railway we turned left into Woodland Road, where the 462A once plied a one-way journey, and continued past Leatherhead Court to Leatherhead Station, where we found RF600 waiting on the stand preparing to depart for Stoke d'Abernon.
We motored back through the wet autumn countryside to Stoke d'Abernon, where we twirled in the station yard and set off back to Leatherhead Station again. I chatted with John about the services that used to run in this area. This time we were ahead of RF600.
We headed north-west again, calling again at Stoke d'Abernon and continuing through Cobham Village. RLH48 flashed past in the murk, and RCL2260 rumbled past as we went through Cobham. We recrossed the A3, and met T792 pulling out from Redhill Road as we prepared to turn in.
In Redhill Road, after dropping off his passengers, John set off to turn in GS2. Cravens-bodied RT1499, with a front blind drooping somewhat, followed on.
Back in the Museum I found I could get a closer look at GL6, which had been heading here.
Mike Dawes said hello, before hurrying off to collect RMC1476. I went back out onto Redhill Road, where there was a line-up of Routemasters...
